Role Summary
We're seeking a strategic and purpose-driven Social Value Manager to lead the development and implementation of our social value strategy. This senior role sits within our Strategy & Development Support function and is key to embedding meaningful social impact across our projects.

You'll conduct local needs analyses, shape action plans, and collaborate across teams to ensure our commitments are realised and reported. This is a chance to influence how infrastructure projects deliver lasting value to communities—while aligning with PPN002 and our clients' social value priorities.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive social value strategy and action plan aligned with PPN 002 and client expectations
  • Collaborate with bid teams to define and evidence project-specific social value commitments
  • Support work-winning through bid writing, case studies, and impact reporting
  • Monitor, report, and continuously improve social value delivery using tools such as RSVT, Loop, or Hive, as prescribed by clients
  • Launch and manage our Social Value Hub to centralise reporting, communications, and best practice sharing
  • Coordinate regional teams and forums to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment across the business
  • Engage with our supply chain partners to amplify social value outcomes
  • Ensure our Business Management System (BMS) policies and procedures remain relevant and up to date
  • Work cross-functionally to organise and support events that showcase and deliver social value
  • Partner with Communications to raise awareness and celebrate our social impact
  • Represent AmcoGiffen at external forums, events, and stakeholder meetings
  • Stay informed on best practices and bring fresh thinking into our approach

What You'll Bring

  • Deep understanding of social value frameworks, tools, and measurement techniques
  • Proven experience applying social value principles across varied project scales
  • Familiarity with PPN002 and client-aligned social value strategies
  • Experience using reporting platforms such as RSVT, Loop, or Hive
  • Ability to conduct local needs analyses and translate insights into action
  • Strong track record of building partnerships with community organisations and supply chain partners
  • Skilled in data interpretation and producing board-level reports
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels
  • Commercial awareness and experience in a work-winning environment
  • Strategic mindset with policy development experience
  • Confident facilitator and public speaker
  • Ability to work independently and build trusted relationships
