This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in high-volume HR administration, employee life cycle processes, and payroll coordination. It would particularly suit a former recruiter - especially someone from a temp desk or fast-paced compliance-heavy environment - who enjoys structured processes, accuracy, and transactional HR work.
Benefits:
- Up to £34k basic salary
- 25 days' holiday + birthday off + bank holidays
- Discounted gym membership
- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
- Death in service benefit (4x salary)
- Cycle-to-work scheme
- Perks at Work
- Eye tests
- Flu jabs
- Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
- Management incentive scheme
Role:
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, relocations, and contractual changes across UK and EU regions
- Prepare employment contracts, conduct right-to-work checks, and oversee pre-employment screening
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries relating to contracts, policies, absence, and payroll
- Work closely with payroll, ensuring timely and accurate communication of employee changes
- Maintain HRIS records, produce regular and ad hoc HR reports, and support internal audits
- Support HR with document management, compliance checks, and ensuring audit-ready personnel files
- Identify opportunities for process and workflow improvements within HR operations
Skills Required:
- Experience in a transactional HR operations or HR administration role
- Ability to work confidently in a structured, process-driven, compliance-led environment
- Strong understanding of UK employment law, GDPR, and HR documentation standards
- Experience working with payroll processes or supporting payroll teams
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday, BambooHR, IRIS, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office
Experience & Qualifications:
- CIPD Level 3 or 5 (completed or currently studying)
- Experience supporting HR activity across multiple EU countries (e.g., Netherlands, Germany, Belgium) is desirable
- Experience with HR audits, compliance checks, or policy reviews
- Strong Excel skills for HR reporting and data accuracy
- Background in recruitment, staffing, or professional services is advantageous
Who This Role Would Suit:
We welcome applications from individuals with backgrounds such as:
- Recruiters (especially high-volume or TEMP recruitment) who are now moving into HR operations
- Recruitment administrators or compliance coordinators with strong process experience
- HR Assistants, HR Administrators, Junior HR Advisors, or HR Officers looking to specialise in operations and payroll
- Candidates studying CIPD and seeking to build specialist HR experience in a structured, compliance-driven environment
