JOB PURPOSE

To support the Multi-site HR Manager in the delivery of a professional and comprehensive HR service to the site. Ensuring the adherence to company HR policies and procedures, legal compliance and best practice.

To deliver day to day support on a diverse range of generalist HR tasks, including, but not limited to employee relation issues, administration and payroll submissions, absence management, recruitment and onboarding, employee engagement and training and development.

Support in the delivery of Vision 2030's culture initiative through championing and fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion and engagement at all times, and promoting conversations in the business that give purpose, direction and develops a growth culture that will support the site's success.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Absence Management

  • Proactively monitor attendance levels, analyse trends and patterns and put measures in place to support managers in managing any absence issues, including implementation of sickness reviews and wellbeing meetings.
  • Champion wellbeing initiatives through partnership with the company's occupational health provider and benefits providers to enable a support structure for colleagues to try and promote good health and reduce sickness absence .

Employee Relations

  • Provide an advisory service to managers and team leaders in all employee relations issues ensuring the consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and build strong working relationships with managers and stakeholders (H&S, Payroll etc), to understand business requirements and how HR can support them.
  • Support and manage employee relation issues, providing support for managers with cases including, but not exhaustive of, disciplinary and grievance matters. Display expert ER knowledge and ensure fairness and consistency throughout the process in accordance with legislation and best practice, ensuring correct documentation is always recorded.
  • Work with managers on performance management and performance improvement, always ensuring the focus is on supporting development and improvement plans and moving performance of employees from good to great.

Learning & Development

  • Support the business with the delivery of coaching and training that enables a culture of learning, development and growth.
  • Design and deliver training programmes, where required, on relevant HR and people initiatives that support the company's Vision 2030.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to managers on HR best practices.
  • Support the business through apprenticeship and training programmes to provide talent for the future.

Organisation Design

  • Provide input into business cases for business changes, such as organisation structure changes.
  • Help to drive organisational performance by driving core business objectives.
  • Review and update departmental documents, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to all legislation and policies.
  • Periodically review and work with managers to ensure job frameworks are up to date and accurately reflect position requirements.

Performance & Reward

  • Support organisation performance management processes.
  • Liaise with Payroll to ensure information impacting salaries, wages, allowances and other payments are processed accurately.

Employee Engagement

  • Working with the HRM and department Managers, support Employee Engagement across the organisation.

Policies & Procedures

  • Maintain consistency in the application of policies and procedures.
  • Ensure sufficient knowledge of industry best practices and legislation to ensure policies comply and help to build on organisation and people capabilities.

Resourcing & Talent Planning

  • Support the attraction, development and retention of key talent.
  • Contribute and manage the recruitment and selection processes as required.
  • Provide advice on remuneration decisions within designated approvals, escalating where required .

Service Delivery & Info

  • Support starters and leavers processes, including onboarding and induction, and exit interviews, ensuring all elements of HR administration are carried out during the life cycle of the employee .
  • Strive for excellence in the delivery of HR services, enabling the business to deliver and seek opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiencies.
  • Empower others through coaching, self-service, and easily accessible information.
  • Remain up to date on industry best practices, and provide support to audits to ensure compliance.
  • Provide periodic and adhoc reports as needed.
  • Maintain HR data trackers, ensuring information is accurate and timely.
  • Liaising with the Multi-site manager to ensure comprehensive coverage of HR is provided to the site at all times.

SKILLS/QUALS

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in HR or related discipline.
  • CIPD Level 5 is desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of HR principles and their application including experience in coaching and mentoring and ability to approach people issues from a commercial perspective, delivering value-add HR services .
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant workplace legislation.
  • Competent in MS Office suite (particularly Excel), with experience using HR systems.
  • Ability to work at pace under strict deadlines and targets.

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
