The Role

Imperial Brands are currently undergoing a strategic transformation to become a consumer-centric organisation and the new Insights function will be a crucial driving force behind this change, placing consumer preferences and demands at the centre of commercial decision making to gain competitive advantage.

We have a new exciting opportunity to come and join us initially on a 9 month fixed term contract as a Transition Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to work with global stakeholders and teams on how we work moving forward. By joining Imperial Brands, you will join an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees.

Reporting to the Head of Data Strategy and Integration this role will be responsible for delivering a smooth roll out of the new 'Hive' supporting global market teams to transition from local data systems to the Hive.

You will work with global markets to train users on the new tools and work with local analysts and developers to rebuild existing content to source from the Hive. The Transition Manager will work with markets to identify content requiring redevelopment, run training sessions, write user guides, build a community of Hive champions and deliver regular project updates to end users.

Please note: We offer hybrid working with two days per week in our Bristol HQ.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Work with market data owners to identify existing reporting and analytical content available in target markets and requiring transition to the Hive
  • Manage delivery of training programme in line with the release of BI models, Power BI reports and additional Hive related product releases. Training to include how to use new tools but also more technical sessions on how to build new content or 're-point' existing content using Hive data.
  • Work with Hive Product manager to ensure all required local data assets are ingested into the Hive to fully enable transition to new system
  • Manage communication of project updates to user population sharing details of delivery and training dates, FAQ documents and training materials.
  • Liaise closely with development teams to ensure training planning is aligned to the wider project roll out plan
  • Support the continued embedment of the Hive within the business through building a community of Hive champions across market and central teams and work wit these champions to share best practice examples and success stories

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous or current experience in a consultancy or data led role
  • Experience in change and project management
  • A strong knowledge of how businesses operates in particular with relation to data use practices
  • Able to build relationships, quickly understand the specific challenges of different user groups and to adapt approach to meet stakeholder requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Strong independent planner
