About Swap
Swap is the infrastructure behind modern agentic commerce. The only AI-native platform connecting backend operations with a forward-thinking storefront experience.
Built for brands that want to sell anything - anywhere, Swap centralizes global operations, powers intelligent workflows, and unlocks margin-protecting decisions with real-time data and capability. Our products span cross-border, tax, returns, demand planning, and our next-generation agentic storefront, giving merchants full transparency and the ability to act with confidence.
At Swap, we're building a culture that values clarity, creativity, and shared ownership as we redefine how global commerce works.
Your Role- Lead and inspire four team leads and their 20+ engineers across our product suite
- Drive strategic technical direction, challenging the status quo and introducing bold, high-impact improvements to how we build, ship, and scale.
- Own team execution & delivery: balance ambitious goals with executional excellence. Spot bottlenecks before they appear, clear paths, and keep teams unblocked.
- Champion platform scalability and data-driven development. Bring systems thinking and architectural insight to cross-team coordination.
- Mentor engineering leads, helping them grow as strong, confident leaders in their own right.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Ops to ensure alignment between user outcomes and tech investments.
- Be a cultural multiplier: foster inclusion, psychological safety, and a high bar for engineering craftsmanship across all teams.
- Proven leadership experience managing multiple engineering teams at scale (ideally in a product-led SaaS or platform environment).
- A track record of disrupting and evolving legacy or underperforming systems/processes in a fast-paced org.
- Deep expertise in building distributed systems, scaling platforms, and deploying high-performance engineering teams.
- Skilled at coaching leaders: you've managed team leads or engineering managers, and know how to balance autonomy with accountability.
- Strong product sensibility. You speak the language of product, design, and business.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and rapid change. You take action, measure results, and iterate.
- Familiarity or experience with ecommerce, logistics, or infrastructure-as-a-service is a strong plus.
- You're ambitious and unafraid to fail; your ideas are bold, and you treat failures as lessons, not setbacks.
- You move fast and break bad habits. We favour action over perfection.
- You love to learn, coach, and build up others. Success here is collaborative.
- You bring a global, systems-level mindset to everything you do.
- "One login, one team" resonates. We value connectedness and consolidation, in our product and our people.
- A truly global team. Swap operates across time zones, markets, and currencies.
- Work with modern tech (AI-powered systems, cross-border APIs, advanced analytics).
- Autonomy with high impact. Your decisions will shape the backbone of ecommerce infrastructure for years to come.
- Equity, ownership, and career growth. We're scaling fast, and we want you on the journey.
- Competitive base salary.
- Stock options in a high-growth startup.
- Competitive PTO with public holidays additional.
- Private Health.
- Pension.
- Wellness benefits.
- Breakfast Mondays.
We embrace diversity and equality in a serious way. We are committed to building a team with a variety of backgrounds, skills, and views. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be. Creating a culture of equality isn't just the right thing to do; it's also the smart thing.
