HR Shared Services Specialist – EMEA

Location: Reading - Hybrid

Employment Type: 6 month Full time contract

About the Role

We are looking for an HR Shared Services Specialist to join our client, a global cybersecurity company based in Reading. This position serves as the first point of contact for employees across the region, providing expert guidance on HR processes, policies, and systems. You will ensure a seamless employee experience through accurate, timely, and high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR inquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate responses while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Manage and triage tickets in the HR system, escalating cases when necessary to other HR teams or departments.
  • Provide guidance and support on key HR topics such as onboarding, offboarding, benefits, timekeeping, payroll, and employee changes.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Centres of Excellence and other internal teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date HR knowledge base content to enhance service delivery.

  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adaptable to change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; additional European language skills are an advantage.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in HR operations or a shared services environment, supporting the employee lifecycle across multiple countries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with HR systems such as SAP or SuccessFactors is a plus.
  • Working towards or holding HR professional accreditation (e.g., CIPD) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
