Activities Coordinator – The Mountains Care Home
Location: Libanus, Brecon (LD3)
Pay: £12.35 per hour
Hours: 25 per week
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time
Shift Pattern: Flexible – options include 3 × 8-hour shifts or 5 × 5-hour shifts
Weekends: Some weekend working on a rota basis

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive home caring for older adults living with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and mental health needs.
About The Mountains
Located in the peaceful Brecon countryside, The Mountains Care Home is a specialist nursing service for elderly residents with dementia and mental health conditions. With 50 bedrooms, beautiful lounge areas, and a lively, family-style atmosphere, the home is always buzzing with visitors, laughter, and meaningful activity.
Your Role
As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital part in enriching daily life for our residents. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering creative, stimulating activities suited to individual needs
- Engaging residents in group and one-to-one sessions
- Encouraging independence, participation, and enjoyment
- Organising seasonal events, music sessions, craft activities, games, reminiscence work, and gentle exercise
- Helping to maintain a warm, social environment throughout the home
- Working closely with the care team to adapt activities for residents living with dementia or mental health conditions
- Recording participation and gathering feedback to improve future sessions
What We're Looking For
A bubbly, friendly, and positive personality
Creativity and enthusiasm – someone who can bring energy and ideas
Confidence engaging with residents who have dementia and mental health needs
Good communication and teamwork skills
Organised, reliable, and comfortable planning your own schedule
Experience in care or activities roles is helpful but not essential – full support will be provided
