We're working with a leading
EPC contractor
specialising in large-scale renewable energy and grid connection projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they're seeking an
Assistant Project Manager
to support the delivery of
utility-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS)
projects.

The Role

As Assistant Project Manager, you'll support the Project Management team across all stages of project delivery — from planning and procurement through to construction and commissioning. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to major renewable energy infrastructure projects and develop toward a full Project Manager position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in coordinating and delivering solar and BESS projects.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and progress reporting.
  • Help manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
  • Monitor project performance and identify potential risks or delays.
  • Support project documentation, including progress reports and method statements.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance.

About You

  • Previous experience in
    renewable energy
    ,
    electrical
    , or
    infrastructure
    projects (solar or BESS preferred).
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Good understanding of construction or project delivery processes.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and project planning tools.
  • HNC/HND or degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to project sites as required.
