Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Client Engagement Manager (CEM) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that every client enjoys a consistent, professional, and supportive journey with Wildwood Ecology. Working closely with the Business Development Manager (BDM) and Ecological delivery teams, the CEM converts interest into projects by managing the quote-to-onboarding process, delivering outstanding client care, and ensuring smooth communication between clients and the delivery team.
This role is ideal for individuals who are commercially minded, client-focused, and keen to develop towards more senior business development positions.
As part of a B-Corp certified consultancy, the CEM will not only drive excellent client care but also contribute to Wildwood's purpose of delivering ecological outcomes in line with our core values.
Duties
Client Enquiries & Quotations
Act as first point of contact for client enquiries.
Prepare and issue quotes promptly and accurately (WorkflowMax project management software).
Follow up on quotations to maximise conversion rates.
Onboarding & Handovers
Manage client onboarding, ensuring all project details are captured.
Provide seamless handover to delivery teams, minimising friction.
Liaising with technical delivery teams to ensure client expectations are met.
Relationship Management
Maintain strong client relationships, identifying cross-sell opportunities.
Capture and report client feedback to inform service improvements.
Sales Process Support
Ensure accurate records in CRM (HubSpot) of quotes, client communications, and outcomes.
Support the BDM in implementing new sales processes and systems.
Reporting
Produce monthly reports on quote volume, conversion rate, and turnaround times.
Highlight common client needs, barriers, and opportunities to the BDM.
Essential Experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive mindset.
- Comfortable working with KPIs and sales metrics.
- Self-motivated and able to manage competing priorities.
- Proficient in a CRM system (preferably HubSpot) and MS Office 365.
- Eligibility to work permanently in the UK.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in a client-facing role within consultancy or professional services.
- Knowledge of ecological or environmental consultancy services.
