Aquacut Limited is recruiting for a Team Leader for our brick processing factory at Palatine Industrial Estate, Warrington (WA4 6QQ). The position will largely be running teams operating state of the art brick cutting machines at Palatine but may also require working from our fabrication factory in Appleton (WA4 4QT). The position will be for work during the 0600 – 1630. In due course we plan to introduce another shift and existing colleagues will be given preferential treatment which shift they prefer. Aquacut Limited is a small business with two factories in Warrington, Cheshire. We specialise in serving the landscape, tiling and building contracting sectors by creating functional and attractive building finishes made from customers' porcelain, stone and bricks. Our Palatine, Warrington factory specialises in cutting bricks. We really value people who take a pride in the quality of their work.

We are looking for a Team Leader with the ability to lead teams processing bricks using industrial machines, ensuring high levels of production efficiency as well as ensuring outputs are within detailed specifications. The new position will largely be dedicated to cutting bricks and brick slips with industrial machines, but when work-loads demand, there may be the need to also work on fabrications in porcelain, stone and cementitious materials. A natural ability with machines and tools and read/work to straightforward job specifications is a must.

From time to time, you may be required to work from our our other factory at Appleton, Warrington (WA4 6QT), so having your own transport is required.

You will be expected to lead small teams working mainly with bricks/brick slips, but may also be fabricating from porcelain tiles, stone and assorted materials to create unique pieces. Aquacut uses a range of machines and tools.

Formal educational attainment and experience is not necessary as full training will be provided but the right person will be;

• confident in operating industrial equipment and hand tools - full training will be given,
• Mechanically minded, so able to turn their hand to simple machine maintenance tasks,
• natural leadership skills,
• have good common sense,
• have a strong awareness of their surroundings,
• possess the ability to work on their own initiative, but thrive leading small teams,
• driving licence and own transport is a must as a small amount of driving may be required,
• we generally work Monday to Friday, but weekend working will be required from time to time, depending on business needs.

Job Type: Permanent. 40 hour week

Salary: £28,000 per annum, rising to £30,000 after satisfactory six months

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead small teams operating brick cutting industrial machines
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all safety procedures are being followed at all times.
• Ensure that daily production and quality standards are being met.
• Maintain a positive attitude and a high level of performance on the job.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
