Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that all food safety standards are adhered to. Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Support chefs in cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes and specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
  • Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times.
  • Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
  • Participate in events as required, providing excellent service to guests.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Experience in meal preparation and food preparation techniques is advantageous.
  • A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities and a positive attitude towards serving others.
