Are you a student who is in their 2nd year at University looking to kick start your career in Sustainability and Environmental Reporting? The Sustainability team is responsible for setting the strategic direction for Sustainability at Haleon and mobilising the different functions and business units to develop action plans and deliver against our goals. We horizon scan, test and learn with teams across the business, codify how to do and build the business capability and empower teams to lead sustainability activities. You will have the opportunity to work directly with and learn from an experienced team who will support you to reach your full potential.

Environmental Sustainability Reporting Industrial Placement: Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to internal and external environmental reporting, including carbon emissions, sustainable sourcing, and sustainable packaging
  • Help deliver internal quarterly performance scorecards for the Executive Team and the CEO, as well as external disclosures including the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
  • Support the development and maintenance of sustainability dashboards that help stakeholders in Haleon understand the results using PowerBI and Microsoft Sustainability Manager
  • Assist in researching and contribute to developing new sustainability metrics and methodologies to align with evolving regulations (e.g. CSRD) and industry standards
  • Managing routine data quality checks and data analysis, and identifying drivers of change
  • Supporting responses to queries for external assurance
  • Supporting the sustainability data improvement program to improve data quality and ensure compliance with sustainability reporting standards
  • Working with colleagues across Quality & Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance to obtain data and to improve data and evidence for external reporting and assurance

Education Requirements:

Currently studying for your Undergraduate Degree preferably in Environmental Science, Mathematics, Finance, Physical Sciences, or Computer Science.

You must be in your 2nd year of study (England) or 3rd year of study (Scotland) and seeking to complete a year in industry in partnership with your university. Please ensure the role is suitable for your placement year.

Role Start Date: July 2026

  • Hirevue One-Way Video Interview – if selected you receive a link to complete a one-way video interview focusing on your motivation for joining Haleon and what transferrable skills you will bring to the role. This will be screened by the Early Talent Team.
  • Interview – if selected you will be invited to attend a virtual interview; The interview will consist of a competency-based interview and may include a case study/technical exercise.
  • Offer – candidates will receive an outcome within 2 weeks following interview.
