About the Role:

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and passionate Weddings & Events Manager to support the smooth and successful delivery of weddings, conferences, and private functions. This hands-on role is key to ensuring every event runs seamlessly, from initial setup to final service—while leading a team to consistently deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee event setups and ensure smooth delivery of weddings, conferences, and private functions
  • Lead the front-of-house team during events, assigning duties and holding pre-shift briefings
  • Liaise with kitchen, bar, and AV teams to maintain timing, presentation, and service quality
  • Deliver outstanding guest service and resolve any issues calmly and professionally
  • Maintain a welcoming atmosphere with attention to lighting, music, and cleanliness
  • Support training and development of the team, encouraging adherence to company standards
  • Promote menu items and drive sales during events
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Encourage positive guest feedback and reviews
  • Step in confidently to manage events when the senior manager is off-site

About You:

We are seeking a motivated hospitality professional with proven experience running high-quality events. You should be confident in managing live operations, supporting a team, and working closely with both clients and kitchen/bar staff to ensure service excellence.

You should also bring:

  • Previous experience managing weddings, formal dinners, or corporate events
  • Excellent communication, delegation, and leadership skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task under pressure
  • Good knowledge of food, drink, allergens, and health & safety standards
  • A guest-focused approach with confidence in problem-solving and decision-making
  • A hands-on attitude and attention to both detail and atmosphere
