Principal Test & Validation Engineer

Salary:
£50,000 – £62,000

The Role:

Work onsite in a small, close-knit team running sophisticated test rigs. You'll lead test and validation programs, analyse results, and ensure high-performance systems meet rigorous standards. The role is hands-on — setting up rigs, handling pipes, test jigs, and electrical assemblies.

About You:

  • Proven track record in test and validation using large test equipment.
  • Ideally from industrial or large scale systems, electromechanical
  • Strong knowledge of validation principles, reliability growth, and experimental methods.
  • Solution-focused, collaborative, and able to communicate technical info clearly.
  • Able to commute to our rural Northamptonshire site.

Qualifications:

  • BEng/BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Chartered status desirable.

Skills & Tools:

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab)
  • Mentoring and leadership within small teams
