Job Summary

We are looking for an Activities Co-ordinator to join our team at Ramsey Step Down & Care Centre. You would be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing engaging activities tailored to our residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for care, ensuring that each resident feels valued and included.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive activities programme that caters to the interests and abilities of residents.
  • Facilitate engaging group activities, including arts and crafts, games, music sessions, and physical exercises.
  • Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities are suitable for residents with varying levels of mobility and cognitive function.
  • Conduct regular assessments of residents' interests and preferences to tailor activities accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of participation in activities and evaluate their effectiveness in enhancing resident well-being.
  • Organise special events, outings, and celebrations to foster community engagement among residents.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote upcoming activities and encourage participation.
  • Ensure a safe environment during all activities by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with external activities providers alongside the Administration Assistant.

Specific requirement for skills

  • Previous experience in care home or nursing home settings is desirable.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents.
  • Strong organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine interest in improving the lives of residents.

This role is Monday - Friday

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week

Work Location: In person
