Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Factory Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong manufacturing knowledge of UPVC windows and doors and a hands-on approach to managing the production process. This role is crucial in ensuring that our factory runs efficiently, meets production targets, and maintains high standards of quality and safety.

Duties

  • Supervise daily factory operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Manage and train staff, fostering a productive and safe working environment.
  • Oversee the workers and check quality of items making sure deadlines are met and processes run smoothly.
  • Implement efficient assembly techniques to optimise productivity while minimising waste.
  • Maintain inventory levels of materials and supplies, coordinating with suppliers for timely deliveries of what is required.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, addressing any mechanical issues promptly to prevent downtime.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations within the factory, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and resolve any operational challenges.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a UPVC manufacturing environment.
  • Strong manufacturing of UPVC knowledge
  • Able to communicate well with employees
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a focus on team development and motivation.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen attention to detail.
