We are supporting AMC Training and Consultancy Ltd to recruit a part-time temporary position via The Job Start Scheme.

Salary Range: 16-17 £7.55, 18-20 £10.00, 21 plus £12.21 per hour

Work Time: Monday to Thursday between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm

Cedar SkillSET will provide you with one-to-one support in applying for this post if you are unemployed and have a disability, health condition, autism or a brain injury. We can also give you an opportunity to sit essential training and gain certificates in, Fire Training, First Aid Awareness, Confidentiality as well as Health and Safety.

Job Description - Personal Assistant to MD

We are looking for an individual to join our team via the Job Start initiative initially for 6 months

Duties:

  • Provide direct administrative and organisational support to the Managing Director.
  • Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations as required.
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external communications.
  • Assist with project coordination and follow-up on key actions.

Occupational Skills:

  • Organisational Skills – Developing the ability to manage diaries, prioritise tasks, and coordinate meetings effectively.
  • Professional Communication – Gaining experience in drafting correspondence, handling calls, and representing the MD in a professional manner.
  • Time Management – Learning how to balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a busy office environment.
  • Confidentiality & Discretion – Understanding how to handle sensitive information securely and professionally.
  • Business Administration & Support – Building skills in preparing reports, presentations, and supporting projects at an executive level.

Experience of Microsoft Office

Good Communication Skills

Good Organisational Skills

Note ****** Cedar will reimburse £30 of an enhanced Access NI check
