About Our Client

Our client is an exciting, fast paced startup revolutionising the creative software industry with a cutting edge, browser based collaboration platform. They're building a complex, high performance web application with professional grade tooling that's disrupting traditional desktop workflows.

This passionate, innovative team is dedicated to delivering polished, intuitive user experiences and is now looking to expand their product development team with a talented Software QA Engineer.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing startup and take genuine ownership of quality assurance processes. You'll play a pivotal role in establishing and evolving their testing strategy, working closely with designers, developers, and product managers to ensure their creative tools meet the highest standards.

As they scale, you'll lead the transition from manual testing towards greater automation - perfect for someone who wants to shape QA practices from the ground up in a dynamic, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and execute manual test cases for new and existing features
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to define acceptance criteria and reproduce issues
  • Maintain and expand regression test suites (manual and automated)
  • Lead the introduction and development of automated testing frameworks
  • Work with component libraries and front end systems to verify visual and functional consistency
  • Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution
  • Champion quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Drive continuous improvement of QA processes and tooling

Essential Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software QA or testing roles
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Proven experience with manual testing across web applications
  • Ability to create clear, structured test documentation and bug reports
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desirable Experience

  • Familiarity with creative media tools (design or editing software)
  • Experience testing UI components within component libraries
  • Exposure to or interest in test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest)
  • Experience working in agile development environments
