Level 3 Lead Practitioner Childcare Apprenticeship - Bumpers Nursery - Melksham

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Bumpers Nursery at their Melksham setting as a L3 Lead Practitioner

We nurture children in a safe, secure, caring environment according to their individual interests and needs and provide care to support every child's potential and ability and encourage children to express themselves in their feelings, words and creativity.

To support this we have developed many different ways to do this, for example:

We encourage painting with all different colours, shapes and toys to create interesting designs for the children to engage with.

We also have a water play station in hope to help the children gain confidence.

We pursue group reading, dancing, quiet time, sensory areas, dress up & sand play.

Trips to the park and other various locations - for example, care homes. These are just some of the many things we like to introduce the children to.

Everyday we take the children on walks to the park, visit a local nursing home, explore Trowbridge Museum, shop for their own fruit and veg, and look after our around town.

We believe this enables them to explore the outdoors, build their skills, and learn about nature.

Some of the activities we partake in, include: playing in the park, visiting the bug home, finding insects and animals - learning about them and what they do

Finding pinecones, conkers, leaves, lots of other things we can take back to the Nursery to paint and play with

To ensure we keep your children safe, everyone wears Hi-Vis jackets, we also make sure everyone has a partner that they hold hands with while walking up to our destination. Raincoats and wellies are always supplied if necessary.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Support the senior members of the team in providing a safe and stimulating childcare
• Must be passionate about working with children from 6 months to age 5, and to providing high-quality care.
• You will be hands on with mealtimes and the personal care of the children in your care.
• Support the children with play and their education.
• Assist with planning and implementing the daily activities.
• Keep the parents updated with the children's progress, along with updating the children's learning journals regularly.

Requirements;

• Level 2 Childcare Qualification is required
• Must have at least 12 months experience in a nursery setting
• To support the room leads in providing a safe stimulating curriculum to children 0 to 5, using an online learning journal to log childrens observations and assess their progress,
• Setting up and leading age-appropriate activities.
• Must be passionate about early years education and are dedicated to providing high-quality care and guidance to children

Hours;

• Bumpers Nursery is open from 08.30am - 17:30pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 25-40 hours per week and shift patterns will be discussed
