Hours: Full-time
Salary: £23,569 - £27,417 based on a 37-hour week
Highfield (North East) Ltd, trading as Halcyon, are looking for talented, dynamic and inspirational Residential Childcare Workers who will challenge, inspire, develop and motivate our young people to engage in school and activities to help them achieve the very best outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Maintain open communication with children, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment.
- Drive children to appointments and activities as required, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
- Utilise IT skills to document progress and maintain accurate records.
- Engage children in recreational and educational activities to promote their development.

You don't need experience of working with children, but we want you to be:
- Caring, creative, and able to understand the needs of young people.
- Able to form and maintain appropriate relationships with young people.
- Committed, with a positive "can do" attitude to help develop young people and achieve the best possible outcomes for them.
- Reliable, organised, responsible, and with an eye for detail.
- Someone who inspires and works well as part of a supportive team.
