The Role

We are seeking a Junior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team. This role would suit someone early in their QS career who is looking to develop within the building services sector and gain experience across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.

You will assist the senior commercial team in managing project costs from tender to final account, ensuring profitability and compliance with contract terms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of tenders, take-offs, and cost plans
  • Support project valuations, variations, and payment applications
  • Track project progress and cost reporting against budgets
  • Assist in subcontract procurement and payment certification
  • Maintain accurate records for all commercial activities
  • Attend site meetings and liaise with site teams, clients, and suppliers
  • Support with preparation of final accounts and project close-out documentation

Skills & Experience

  • HNC / HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Services Engineering (preferred)
  • Knowledge of M&E (mechanical and electrical) systems and terminology
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Keen to learn, proactive, and able to work under supervision and as part of a team
