Junior Estimator

JCS Interiors are a leading Drylining and Suspended Ceiling specialist company working with large, established main contractors across England to deliver high quality projects up to the value of £8M.

**This role would be ideal for an individual with some prior estimating or surveying experience.**

Reports to: Technical Director

**What a day as Junior Estimator looks like**:

- Respond to requests raised by colleagues via an internal software system, ensure all requests are allocated and track appropriate deadlines.
- Assisting with evaluation of technical specification and drawings.
- Measuring projects using company software (BlueBeam)
- Liaising with suppliers on requests for technical information
- Assist in filling out pricing documents using costs of materials and labour supplied by the Quantity Surveying department
- Shadowing meetings with the management team to assess tenders
- Collect and organise technical and cost information
- Inputting data into the company ERP system (Chalkstring)
- Identifying the technical attributes of our key products and the partner suppliers we work with

**Requirements**:

- Experience in using BlueBeam or other measuring software
- Experience in using Chalkstring or other ERP systems
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Previous estimating or surveying experience or interior systems experience (_Please note, this does not have to be extensive experience, but working knowledge would be advantageous)_
- Strong maths skills
- Highly organised
