Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee and optimise all aspects of warehouse activities within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, supervising staff, and implementing process improvements to ensure efficient supply chain management. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics systems. The Warehouse Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining safety standards, enhancing productivity, and supporting organisational growth.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfilment.
  • Supervise and lead warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Manage transportation systems and coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimise delivery schedules.
  • Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, to monitor stock levels, process orders, and generate reports.
  • Implement continuous process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all warehouse activities.
  • Manage forklift operations safely and efficiently; organise staff training as necessary.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to streamline logistics operations and improve overall workflow.
  • Coordinate with shipping & receiving departments to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics management, and transportation management systems.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and Sage 200 is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with 3PL providers, shipping & receiving procedures, and forklift operation certification.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret profit & loss data for operational decision-making.
  • Demonstrated capability in implementing continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional eager to lead a dynamic team while driving operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
