Your impact
Leonardo is looking to employ an FSR to work for the Leonardo Saudi Arabia Ltd (LDOS) line of business as part of a Field Service Representative (FSR) team contractually located at King Abdul Aziz Airbase (KAAB) Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The role will provide direct support to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Tornado fleet in operation in KSA.

You will support the RSAF Tornado Fleet of aircraft by

  • Being a Tornado Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) specialist working on the Sky -Shadow Pod, Radar Homing and Warning Receiver (RHWR) and Boz 107A pod
  • Working on the associated Test Equipment such as OFFSLATE, SETER, SASR, Tornado Data Loader and Ground cooling rigs. Diagnose and repair the equipment to ensure down time is kept to a minimum
  • Maintaining good working relationships with
  • The RSAF Customer
  • BAES Saudi Arabia as the Prime Contractor
  • Other companies/agencies as required
  • Maintaining individual and team currency by ensuring mandatory training, authorisations and deployability status (vaccinations, passports, visas, etc) are in-date

Additionally, you will support the wider business by

  • Supporting the ECM Team Lead in the running of the ECM Bay
  • Supporting LDOS in carrying out the FSR service
  • Supporting the RSAF Tornado fleet
  • Supporting the RSAF customers operational requirements

Specialist Tornado ECM training will be provided.

What You'll Bring
It is essential that you have

  • A full UK driving licence (Category B)
  • The ability to achieve UK SC security clearance
  • The ability to work shifts (Day shifts are the norm but can be expected to work a back shift or night shift by management agreement)
  • Experience working with aircraft and/or in an aircraft maintenance environment

It is highly desirable that you have

  • Experience of Tornado ECM equipment at ML1 and ML2 level
  • Knowledge of RF principles and advanced Radar theory
  • Experience of EW
  • RAF/RSAF Tornado on aircraft experience

It is desirable that you have

  • HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience working at offsite locations, i.e. remote from back office/main site support
