Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care to an individual in a home care environment. The role involves supporting this clients with daily activities, promoting independence, Managing his Tracheostomy and ensuring his well-being. Applicants should have a genuine interest in complex care, and patient-centred services. Experience in healthcare or caregiving is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills in the healthcare sector.

We are looking for both Day and Night Workers, working 12 hours shifts.

Duties

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
  • Assist with mobility and transferring clients safely using appropriate techniques
  • Support clients with activities of daily living to promote independence
  • Monitor health and behaviour changes, reporting concerns to healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and client progress
  • Assist with light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary
  • Supporting with Tracheostomy management.

Skills

  • Experience in supporting individuals in home care environments is advantageous
  • Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Organised with the ability to follow care plans accurately
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of clients and work shifts as required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 48 per week
