Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Boxing Coach located in Woolwich Dockyard, London. The Boxing Coach will be responsible for designing and delivering boxing sessions tailored to various skill levels and abilities. Daily responsibilities include fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, mentoring participants to build confidence, and promoting physical fitness and personal development. The role also involves ensuring the safety of all participants during training sessions and assisting with the planning of community engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of boxing techniques, training methods, and fitness best practices
  • Experience in coaching, teaching, or mentoring, with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals of diverse backgrounds
  • Understanding of health, safety, and safeguarding regulations, with a focus on maintaining safe training environments
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and adapt training programs to meet the needs of participants
  • Relevant coaching certifications or qualifications in sports or fitness are preferred
  • Previous experience working with young people or community programs is advantageous
