DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Skilled Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for Maintenance Department in Darlington, UK

This is a permanent on-site role, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8am – 4.30pm with possible shift work depending on workload and business needs.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Applies high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship.
  • Support equipment failure analysis.
  • Performs work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring and testing instruments.
  • Provide feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system.
  • Ensures all process documents and quality procedures are updated and acts as a resource to provide help to others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Knowledge of IT and PLC, systems networking
  • Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.
  • Providing support for the interface between MES and our PLC network.
  • Configuring OPC servers to add new MES stations to the system.
  • Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
  • Recognizes controls related hazards in a manufacturing environment (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) to incorporate safe practices and procedures as part of the daily work plan.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctlyimplementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function'sneeds and contribute towards continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

  • HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic or Mechatronic or in IT/Computing or a related subject.
