About the Role
Our Insurance Specialist will lead the management of all corporate insurance programs, supporting our construction projects, data centre operations, and AI compute deployments. This role requires deep expertise in corporate and project-related insurance, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work closely with internal teams and external insurance partners.
The role is critical in ensuring adequate risk coverage, optimizing insurance costs, and supporting claims management for the group.
What You'll be Doing
Insurance Program Management
- Develop and maintain the company's global insurance strategy and policies.
- Manage annual renewals and negotiate terms with brokers and insurers.
- Ensure adequate coverage for property, construction all-risk, liability, cyber, D&O, and other relevant lines.
Risk Assessment & Advisory
- Assess insurance requirements for new construction projects and operational sites.
- Identify and advise on emerging risks, including cyber, public liability, AI liability, and business interruption exposures.
- Provide guidance on insurance clauses in contracts and agreements.
Claims Management
- Act as the main contact for all insurance claims.
- Coordinate with brokers, insurers, and legal teams to manage claims effectively.
- Track and analyze claims history to support renewal negotiations.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with insurance-related laws and regulations in all jurisdictions of operation.
- Maintain insurance documentation for due diligence requests, audits and regulatory purposes.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management and the board.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Finance, Legal, Construction, and Operations teams to integrate insurance considerations into projects.
- Educate employees on coverage and claims processes.
- Manage relationships with external insurers, brokers, and advisors.
About You
- Professional insurance qualification preferred (e.g., ACII, CPCU, ARM).
- 5–10+ years of experience in corporate insurance, ideally with exposure to construction, data centers, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of international insurance markets and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to negotiate insurance terms and manage complex claims.
- Experience advising on cyber risk and technology-related exposures is highly advantageous.
