Leicester, Leicester, United Kingdom Next Full time £24,560 - £30,000 per year

Job Description
We're seeking a highly organised Digital Operator to become a key member of our in-house Photo Studio team at NEXT. This is a brilliant chance to grow your experience within a fast-paced creative environment, focusing on digital workflow support and on-set digital operating. This role is based at Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire with a starting salary of £24,560.

About the Role:
This role provides essential hands-on support across both model and non-model shoots, assisting photographers, stylists, and senior team members to ensure smooth, high-volume production. You will play a crucial part in the smooth handling of digital files, file naming, and image tracking, supporting both studio and location productions.

You will be responsible for digital operating using Capture One, assisting photographers with lighting and digital setup, and maintaining digital continuity across sets. A core part of the role involves accurate file management, capture logging, and asset tracking to ensure the timely upload of product imagery, as well as creating moodboards after each shoot.

Beyond the digital focus, you will also support the physical smooth running of the studio, including keeping set areas tidy, ensuring shoot materials are stocked, and assisting with the preparation and kit for off-site shoots. You will also maintain internal logs and accurate shoot documentation, contributing to the overall efficiency of the studio through clear communication and adherence to internal workflows.

About You:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • An excellent communicator and team player with a proactive, can-do attitude, comfortable taking initiative to solve problems quickly.
  • A keen eye for detail, especially regarding colour and product accuracy.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing changing priorities.
  • A fast learner, eager to grow and contribute to a collaborative creative team.
  • Willingness to assist in both studio and off-site settings.
  • Flexible and adaptable to support a variety of creative and production tasks.
  • Experience using Google Workspace (G-Suite) and Mac OS is preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence is preferred.
  • An interest in fashion, photography, or e-commerce content production is required, with practical experience working in a studio being a plus.
  • A basic understanding of digital workflows and file handling is a plus.
