Job Title: Transport Driver

Location: Cheshire & Staffordshire

Pay Rate: £12.45 per hour

Job Type: Part-Time

About the Role:

Alpha Omega Securities is currently seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Transport Driver to join our team. In this part-time role, you will play a vital part in the smooth operation of our services by transporting staff to and from their designated work sites safely and on time. Additional hours may be available to cover holiday or sickness absences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport employees safely between their homes and work locations, following assigned schedules.
  • Adhere to working hours, which may vary depending on business needs:
  • Morning shift: 04:00 – 09:00
  • Evening shift: 15:00 – 20:00

(Start and end times may be adjusted based on operational demands.)

  • Perform daily vehicle inspections, including oil, water levels, and overall condition.
  • Promptly report any defects, damage, or maintenance issues.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept refuelled — never leaving a vehicle with less than half a tank.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of company vehicles, both inside and out.
  • Check that all essential safety equipment is present and in working order, including:
  • First aid kit
  • Torch
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Spare wheel and tools
  • Complete and submit Incident Reports for any accidents, alarm activations, or unusual events.
  • Carry out occasional additional duties as requested, such as delivering equipment or documentation.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A valid UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
  • A clean driving record, with no penalty points or disqualifications.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, time management, and customer service.
  • Ability to work flexible or irregular hours, including early mornings and evenings.

Additional Information:

  • Drivers are fully responsible for the condition and care of the vehicle during their shift. This includes any penalties, fines, or damage incurred.
  • Access to the Control Room is limited to authorised personnel only. All necessary items will be issued by designated staff members.
