Engineering Manager
Engineering Manager: Lead our Maintenance & Development teams.
Are you an experienced engineering professional looking for your next leadership challenge? We're seeking a skilled Engineering Manager to oversee our maintenance operations at our Oakham manufacturing facility.
This role offers the perfect balance of technical leadership and strategic influence, as you'll be responsible for ensuring plant reliability whilst developing a talented team of engineering professionals. With over twenty skilled colleagues under your guidance, you'll drive maintenance excellence and continuous improvement across our injection moulding operations.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of over twenty engineering colleagues responsible for maintaining injection moulding machines, automation and ancillary equipmentEnsure prompt and effective reactive maintenance response to minimise downtime from unplanned breakdownsStrengthen the planned maintenance programme to optimise equipment availability and reliabilityUse production data and root cause analysis to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunitiesManage maintenance and capital expenditure budgets with careful attention to detailOptimise spare parts procurement and stockholding to balance availability against costsIdentify and build business cases for annual capex projects that maintain plant performanceBuild productive relationships with key suppliers and sub-contractorsOversee the full capex/project lifecycle from procurement through installation to handoverSupport the ongoing professional development of the engineering teamSkills and Experience
Engineering qualification (HND/degree level) with relevant manufacturing experienceProven track record in maintenance management within a production environmentSound technical knowledge of injection moulding processes and automation systemsExperience leading engineering teams and developing talentGood understanding of preventative maintenance methodologiesStrong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysisExperience managing capital projects from justification to implementationWorking knowledge of maintenance management systemsPay and Benefits
