Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing a variety of wooden and other materials to meet project specifications. Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble bespoke joinery components using hand tools and power tools
  • Install wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings in accordance with technical drawings and safety standards
  • Assist with roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical installations, and construction painting as required
  • Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to transport materials around site
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints for accurate construction and installation
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety and efficiency on site
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects within specified deadlines
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies

Skills

  • Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, or related trades
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers
  • Competence in operating power tools safely and effectively
  • Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing systems, electrical installations, and construction painting is desirable
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
  • Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
  • Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are advantageous
