The Verzon house hotel Is an independent boutique hotel situated in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside on the outskirts of Ledbury. The hotel offers a unique blend of luxury and countryside charm.

The property benefits from a large bar, private dining space, separate dining area, outdoor eating and drinking space aswell as 9 ensuite letting bedrooms, this means the Verzons is well equipped to host functions, parties and wedding etc on top of dining and drinking throughout the day.

The business will soon be re-opening under new ownership and is looking to appoint a front of house manager to help bring the Verzons back to life. The Verzons offering will be based on modern British cuisine with an emphasis on fresh seasonal dishes.

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and hands on front of house manager to lead a team in this multi faceted establishment.

The ideal candidate would have proven ability to manager operations across a pub, restaurant, accommodation and events.

Key responsibilities:

· Team leadership – recruit, train, mentor and motivate the front of house team, including bar and waiting staff to ensure they deliver consistently high standards of service.

· Operational excellence – Oversee all day-to-day front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth, efficient service and a welcoming atmosphere across the bar, restaurant and function space.

· Customer satisfaction – Greet guests, handle enquiries and bookings, and respond to feedback and complaints with professionalism and diplomacy.

· Events management – liaise with clients to plan and execute functions to ensure their requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.

· Accommodation management – oversee the smooth running of our letting rooms, including guest check-in, check-out and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

· Stock and finance control – manage rotas, monitor stock levels, place orders and assist with cashing up and financial reporting.

What we're looking for:

· Experience – previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a similar hospitality environment, ideally with experience managing both food/beverage and accommodation.

· Leadership skills – a confident leader with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively even during peak periods.

· Customer focus – A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences.

· Adaptability – the ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment with flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

· Communication – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with customers and staff.

· Organistion – Strong time-management and organisational skills with attention to detail.

Salary £30-35K

Live in accommodation may be available for the right candidate
