TTP is an employee-owned technology and product development consultancy, with a 40-year track record of partnering with ambitious clients to solve complex challenges and bring innovative, commercially successful solutions to market.
We invent, design, and manufacture impactful products and technologies across a wide range of industries – including healthcare, life science, energy, and communications – and at the intersection of engineering, physical science, and biology.
Our working culture encourages entrepreneurship, shared ideas and technical collaboration, while providing you with the freedom to do your best work.
Job DescriptionThe Opportunity
As a recognised authority in injectable device development, you will lead some of the most complex and strategically significant programmes in our Drug Delivery team.
From blank sheet to clinical reality, you will guide clients through the full development cycle – balancing technical, regulatory, and commercial challenges. Your leadership will accelerate development timelines, manage risk, and deliver results that delight clients and improve patient outcomes.
You'll play a critical role in developing innovative drug delivery systems, from injectables and infusion pumps to microcatheters and active implants – systems that are not only technically ambitious, but commercially valuable and transformative for patients.
QualificationsWhat We're Looking For
We're seeking a technically brilliant and commercially astute programme leader who thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
You will have:
- A proven track record of leading complex, high-value development programmes from concept through to transfer to manufacture.
- Significant professional engineering experience, typically developed over 10+ years in the medical sector, ideally with expertise in injectable drug delivery device development and manufacture.
- Exceptional technical capability with strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering and systems engineering, and a talent for creatively solving complex, ambiguous problems.
- Experience guiding multidisciplinary teams with rigour, agility, and care.
- Preferably, an understanding of the drug delivery market and its evolving regulatory and commercial demands.
You will also be:
- Intellectually curious and eager to explore new perspectives.
- Strategically focused yet responsive and adaptive in execution.
- Commercially minded – able to spot opportunities, shape proposals, and win follow-on work.
- A confident, clear, and empathetic communicator who builds trust with clients and colleagues alike.
- An empowering leader who coaches others to grow.
- Willing to travel for in-person meetings and client engagements.
