Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods and packages promptly and safely across designated routes. The Courier will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely deliveries and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Collect parcels from warehouses or distribution centres and deliver them to specified locations within the scheduled timeframe.
  • Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Follow company policies on health and safety, including COVID-19 protective measures where applicable.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
  • Valid driver's licence, preferably with relevant endorsements such as driver or similar qualifications.
  • Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Good organisational skills to manage routes effectively and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Reliable transportation means to perform daily duties consistently.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £600.00-£1,000.00 per week
