Learning Support Assistant - Merton - Immediate Start
Are you a recent graduate? Have you recently discovered you want to work within education? Us at Ribbons and Reeves are here to help you achieve that dream as we are working alongside a high achieving Secondary school based in Merton that is looking to bring in a Learning Support Assistant. This is a full-time role starting immediately on a long-term basis.
Learning Support Assistant - Salary and Contract:
- £470 a week with holiday pay included, on a long-term basis.
- Contract term – October 2025 to July 2026
- Potential to become a permanent role or dive into a teacher training position.
Learning Support Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
- Working 1-to-1 with small groups.
- Providing support with pupils that have SEND.
- Collaborating with SENDCOs and Teachers to provide and promote inclusive learning.
- Creating and building a safe environment whilst also providing pupils with confidence and motivation.
Learning Support Assistant - What the School offers:
- Full-time, long-term role starting immediately in a high achieving Secondary school.
- A plan to either help you start your teaching career or become a more established Learning Support Assistant.
- Opportunity to gain classroom experience, SEN awareness and 1-to1 experience.
Learning Support Assistant - Ideal Candidate:
- A recent graduate from either a Top 30 University or Russell Group.
- Ideally a First-Class degree or 2:1.
- SEN awareness and passion to help those with SEND.
- Someone that is enthusiastic about education and providing support and to children that may need that extra help.
- Confident, Patient and Proactivity whilst also showcasing initiative is important as a Learning Support Assistant
