Join Us at Social Element

Founded 23 years ago, Social Element is a leading global and independent full-service agency connecting brands and people socially. Our core purpose is to make better social for brands and social better for society.

We are now on the lookout for a bold, inventive Motion Designer to ideate, design, and deliver thumb-stopping content for the feeds that matter most.

The Opportunity

You'll have your finger on the pulse, transforming real-time trends and cultural conversations into social-first, social-focused motion assets that break beyond the ordinary. Your work will fuel brand relevance, drive conversation, and help us (and our clients) ride the wave of social culture, not just follow it.

What you'll do:

Ideate and create standout, on-trend motion and static assets (GIFs, Reels, TikTok, Stories and more) that drive engagement and push the limits of what's possible on social.

Spot and seize cultural moments, building content that gets brands noticed at the centre of real-world conversations.

Collaborate with the creative team, strategists, client services among more, to ideate on fresh ideas into dynamic, socially-native campaigns—for our clients and for Social Element's brand presence.

Repurpose and remix existing assets, capturing new content when needed (quick shoots, DIY, or mobile magic) to keep things fresh and shareable.

Stay ahead of the curve on platform trends, tools, and creative formats (TikTok, IG, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube—wherever the audience is).

Back up your creative recommendations with sharp insights and excellent communication.

Ensure all content remains fiercely on-brand, on-strategy, and culturally relevant.

What you bring:

You live and breathe social media trends, internet culture, and creative innovation.

A strong portfolio of native social motion design and video work across platforms, with proof of concept-to-creation skills.

Killer eye for visual storytelling—motion, colour, photography, typography, layout, and timing.

Confident across the tools of the trade: Adobe Suite, video editing apps, shooting with DSLR or mobile.

Comfortable pitching your ideas and collaborating across teams in a fast-evolving environment.

Unafraid to push beyond social "norms"—you're here to set the standard, not just meet it.

Inclusive, collaborative, and ready to experiment.

Experience:

3+ years of motion design or social content creation, ideally agency side or in-house with a social-first brand.

Proven experience ideating and delivering creative that wins on social—with strong examples to show.

Deep familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook—and an eye on what's next.
