Ascent Recruitment is pleased to support a successful insurance business in Manchester City Centre and Birkenhead in their search for a Group Financial Reporting Manager.

This is a key leadership role reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting as their number 2, working closely with the CFO, and leading a team of accountants.

The successful candidate can work out of either the Manchester City Centre or Birkenhead office.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting (internal, UK GAAP, and tax returns)
  • Co-ordinating external audits and regulatory reporting
  • Supporting Finance, Audit, Compliance, and Risk Committees
  • Implementing accounting standards and financial controls
  • Driving process improvements and automation
  • Team Management

Skills & Experience:-

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Insurance sector background (desirable, but not a prerequisite)
  • Strong financial accounting & reporting knowledge
  • Strong Management skills

Package:-

  • Circa £80,000 + bonus
  • Hybrid working (2 days in Manchester)
