Product Operations Manager
This role keeps the product team running smoothly. You'll make sure roadmaps are structured, delivery is trackable, and the right people know what's happening — and what's blocked. You free up product management to focus on customers and strategy by making execution clear, coordinated, and accountable. You will help create process that allows the product office to scale to support our growing development team.
Ideal Profile
- Experienced in product ops, program delivery, or product-facing operations in a SaaS environment
- Fluent in product management tooling such as Aha, Jira, Confluence and skilled at building process without bureaucracy
- Highly structured thinker with a bias for action and strong communication instincts
- Proven ability to manage cross-team delivery and surface issues before they escalate
- Comfortable partnering with PMs, engineering, and design to translate strategic plans into execution
- Understands (or can learn quickly) how SAP ops teams operate and how Avantra fits into that ecosystem
Key Objectives
- Work within the product office to manage Aha and Jira governance: roadmap structure, tagging, timeline hygiene etc.
- Work within the product management team to align Aha and Jira before, during and after our development cycles to ensure the team has an up-to-date picture of what is happening
- Work with the development pods and documentation writer to ensure that release notes and relevant documentation is published when needed
- Run cross-functional rituals at end of cycle and during the release process and manage status updates, checkpoints, dependency flagging etc. so that the cycle can be closed and the product released
- Work as a bridge between the product office and support teams to make sure our bug resolution process is performing well and our customer feedback is actively maintained and fed into the roadmap discussions
- Partner with PMs to structure and scope initiatives ahead of handoff to engineering
- Maintain shared visibility into roadmap delivery progress and surface risks early
- Create lightweight, repeatable systems for delivery cadence, without introducing process bloat
Success Measures
- Consistency and hygiene of Aha and Jira structures
- Visible improvements in delivery rhythm, release readiness, and execution confidence
- Visible improvements in interaction with the support team and feedback process
- PM and engineering feedback on reduced friction and increased focus on outcomes
- Stakeholder visibility into roadmap status without manual chasing
