Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Club. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management, hospitality and bartending, combined with excellent leadership skills to manage a club and team effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day running of the Onward Club facility and staffing requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety and staff training.
  • Monitoring of maintenance requirements.
  • Assisting with planning and running of events.
  • Working alongside the Clerk and Council to engage with the community.
  • Improve and monitor customer experience within the facility.
  • Liaising with customers using the facility.
  • Engaging with teams using the sports facilities.
  • Lead and supervise the bar team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth
  • operations. Train new staff in bartending techniques, customer service skills, and operational procedures.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages, ensuring adherence to quality

standards.

  • Maintain inventory levels of beverages and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Develop and implement innovative drink menus that align with current trends and

customer preferences.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as licensing laws.
  • Handle customer feedback effectively, resolving any issues promptly to maintain

satisfaction.

  • Monitor financial performance of the club and bar area and assisting in budget management.

Experience

  • Personal licence preferable but not essential.
  • Proven experience in management, bar management or supervisory role within a hospitality setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests

Job Type: Full-time, 37 per week, including evenings and weekends

Pay: Starting salary negotiable depending on experience
