We are particularly interested in candidates available across 5 days per week, but we're happy to be flexible for the right person. We're looking for someone who:
- Is confident and proactive in supporting students' academic progress and personal development
- Has a strong presence in the classroom with solid behaviour management skills
- Brings enthusiasm, positivity, and a collaborative mindset to the team
- Is committed to helping deliver a high-quality learning environment
What you'll be doing:
- Supervising whole classes during teacher absences, delivering work set by the regular class teacher
- Maintaining a focused and supportive atmosphere to help students stay on task
- Responding to any immediate issues in line with school policies and safeguarding procedures
- Collecting completed assignments and returning materials to the appropriate teacher
- Assisting as a Teaching Assistant when cover is not needed, supporting students across the curriculum
What we're looking for:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff
- Experience working with young people is beneficial, though not essential – enthusiasm and commitment go a long way
