We are looking for a Support Services Supervisor to join the National Theatre Support Services Team.

As a Supervisor, you will lead by example, motivating, supporting, and training your team to deliver excellent customer service and consistently high standards across all duties.

You will ensure all tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with health and safety requirements, coordinating daily, weekly, and monthly activities. A key part of the role is supervising the safe and smooth delivery of goods through the Loading Bay, overseeing post and parcel operations, and ensuring porterage requests are completed promptly and effectively.

The Supervisor will also carry out audits and checks to maintain service quality, and work closely with other departments to provide support, solve problems, and keep operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills, with a clear focus on customer service and setting the standard for professional conduct.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Experience and demonstrable understanding of staff supervision, being able to lead by example.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of applying health and safety requirements in a workplace (e.g. risk assessments, safe systems of work).
  • Demonstrated experience using IT programs to confidently prepare, edit, and design documents and presentations to support departmental needs.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels to both individuals and large groups.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering excellent customer service.
