E M Cole Farms LTD, is a thriving family cut flower business based in West Pinchbeck, Spalding, is looking for an experienced and energetic Planting Team Lead to join our team

The Role: Planting Team Leader

This crucial, hands-on role centers around our beautiful tulip and lily production, ensuring the highest quality from planting to harvest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operation of the Robotic Tulip Planting Line and the Manual Lily Planting Line.
  • Managing and maintaining the production lines to achieve quality and efficiency targets.
  • Leading a small team, ensuring clear communication and meeting ambitious production goals.
  • Working in various other areas of the business as required during different seasons.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience in ornamental horticulture, or agriculture is an essential requirement .
  • A strong understanding of basic engineering for line operations and maintenance.
  • Confidence with basic I.T. skills (e.g., data entry, line software).
  • Ability to lead a team effectively and achieve production targets.
  • A good level of English (written and spoken) is an essential requirement.
  • A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence is a must-have.
  • Good attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Clean Driving License.

Hours & Pay:

  • Minimum Weekly Hours: 39 hours.
  • Peak Production: Expect up to 55 – 60 hours in busy weeks.
  • Overtime: Paid after 8 hours per day.
  • Weekend & Bank Holiday Working: Always paid at the overtime rate.

Experience of working with cut flowers or horticulture/ agriculture is required.

The role will cover, tulip & lily planting production and then be able to work in other areas of the business when required .

The role will include running of the robotic tulip planting line & manual lily planting line. Candidates must have an understanding of basic engineering and basic I.T skills.

A good level of English is essential and candidates must be capable of leading a team and meet production targets.

Candidates must hold a valid Counter balance Forklift Truck Licence.

Weekly hours 39 minimum & up to hours in peak production weeks.

Overtime is paid after 8 hours per day and always paid for weekend & bank holiday working.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.50-£17.00 per hour
