Morgan Motor Company Limited are looking for a self-motivated person to become part of the Accounts Department.
The Company:Located in Malvern, Worcestershire, Morgan Motor Company Limited is an innovative British sports car manufacturer; we have operated in niche automotive sector since our launch in 1909.
The Role: To work as part of Accounts team, process purchase invoices and assist on sales ledger while training in basic accounting functions.
Key responsibilities:
The role will include, but is not limited to the following:
- Work towards achieving Accounts Assistant qualification (AAT) level 2 or 3 – depends on experience.
- Accurately post and process high volumes of purchase ledger invoices of high and low value.
- Carry out detailed checks of all incoming invoices to ensure accuracy; specifically checking dates, values, quantities, and prices.
- Liaise with internal departments to resolve any invoice queries.
- Liaise with suppliers when invoices are incorrect and need to be amended and re-issued.
- Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries for suppliers.
- Assist the relevant team leader in the accurate and timely delivery of the payment run.
- To support the period end reporting process.
- Use a bespoke ordering system to prepare sales invoices.
OCCASIONAL DUTIES
- Cover of other accounts tasks (within capabilities) during holidays or busy periods.
Essential Pre-Job knowledge, skills, Training and Experience:
- Computer literate with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and Internet Explorer.
- Mathematically competent.
- Accurate keyboard skills.
- The ability to work well within a small team.
- Strong time management skills/ability to meet monthly deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptive approach to work.
Candidate:
- A motivated self-starter with a proactive approach and a drive for continuous improvement
- Capable of working as an individual and team member
- Good time management, highly organised
- Logical thinker
- Eye for detail and methodical in your approach to work
- Computer Literacy and accuracy
- Ability to communicate well at all levels (written and verbal)
Minimum Qualifications/Education:
· 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English. Other relevant qualifications and experience may be accepted.
· Apprentices without English or Maths at Level 2 must achieve this before taking the End Point Assessment.
Terms and Benefit:
· 37.5 hours per week (currently Monday to Friday with flexible start/finish times)
· Apprentice salary of £7.55 per hour
· 33 days holiday per year
