Senior Automation Test Engineer (Selenium (Python))

London

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Quality Analyst with strong expertise in web and mobile application testing, automation frameworks, and API testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Selenium (Python), Postman, SQL, and a solid understanding of quality assurance best practices. Exposure to fund accounting, fund administration, or wealth management domains is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute end-to-end testing of web and mobile applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium with Python.
  • Perform API testing using tools like Postman, including validation of request/response payloads, headers, and authentication.
  • Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate backend data and perform data integrity checks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a QA perspective.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs; perform root cause analysis and regression testing.
  • Ensure timely delivery of QA deliverables in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Provide QA metrics and status reports to stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in manual and automation testing of web and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in Selenium with Python for automation.
  • Solid understanding of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
  • Strong command over SQL for data validation and backend testing.
  • Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Domain knowledge in fund accounting, fund administration, or wealth management.
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification.
