Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in a role focused on food preparation and culinary services. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and providing excellent service in a busy kitchen environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience within the hospitality sector.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
  • Assist with meal assembly, plating, and presentation to meet quality standards
  • Support the team in maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including washing dishes and cleaning work surfaces
  • Follow food safety regulations and procedures at all times to ensure compliance with health standards
  • Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or expiry dates
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by supporting colleagues during busy periods and ensuring timely service

Experience

  • Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is advantageous
  • Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting, including meal preparation or serving, will be considered beneficial
  • Familiarity with culinary techniques and food presentation is a plus
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills within a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21-£14.62 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
