Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that delight our guests while ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
  • Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients where possible.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and food safety practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal times.
  • Help create an enjoyable dining experience for guests through exceptional meal presentation.

Skills

  • Proficient in cooking techniques and methods within a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in meal preparation, with an eye for detail in presentation and flavour.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members.
  • A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continually improve skills and knowledge within the field.
