About the role: We are looking for experienced LV/HV Cable Jointers to work on underground power networks. Youll install, maintain and repair cables safely and to a high standard across a range of DNO/IDNO networks. You will be expected to: Work in accordance with IES HSEQ procedures and DNO/IDNO network rulesFollow Electricity at Work Regulations, ESQCR, HSG47, HSG85Wear correct PPE and maintain site safety at all timesComplete all risk assessments, point-of-work briefs and dynamic reviewsMaintain accurate job records, digital documentation, test sheets and as-installed data What You'll Do: LV live and dead jointingMains and service jointingFault finding and repairsLV testing and commissioningHV jointing and terminations up to 11kV (desirable)XLPE/EPR/PILC joints and heat/cold shrink terminationHV new connections and network upgradesFuse and cut-out replacements (live and dead)Removal of illegal connectionsAssist jointing teams and act as Safety MateHelp with excavation, guarding and site setupSupport with LV switching and safety documents (if authorised) What You Need (Essential): LV/HV jointing experience (DNO/IDNO background preferred)Competent in LV live jointingHV jointing up to 11kV (or willing to train)Full UK driving licenceAble to work outdoors and in excavations What You Need (Desirable): NRSWA (SLG)First AidConfined Space trainingCable ID/spiking authorisationSubstation access The suitable candidate will also possess: Strong safety attitudeGood attention to detailPractical and reliableAble to work alone or in a teamGood communication skills What You'll Get from IES: Competitive pay based on skills and authorisationsStandby and call-out paymentsTraining and progression pathways (LV HV)Route to Lead Jointer, Supervisor or Authorised PersonModern van, tools, PPE and test equipmentPension, holidays and wellbeing support Additional requirements: Must pass drug & alcohol screeningFollow all IES and client HSEQ rulesWork outdoors in all weatherTake part in standby/call-out rota
