You will develop and lead on the implementation of an outstanding facilities strategy which creates the best fan experience in the UK. You will be developing and delivering policy, procedures, regulatory and industry requirements and leading a team who are passionate about making this the best arena in the UK. You’ll take ownership of facilities from top to bottom, from developing a robust maintenance strategy and embedding a safety‑first culture and taking facilities at Co‑op Live to the highest level. Your day‑to‑day will involve managing a talented in‑house team and multiple contractors, overseeing operational planning for events, ensuring our venue runs seamlessly across all touchpoints, driving forward sustainability, maintaining our facilities to the highest level, and championing excellence in everything we do – all while keeping an eye on budgets, timelines and compliance.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a comprehensive facilities strategy that enhances the fan experience.Lead the development and execution of policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.Build and maintain a safety‑first culture across all facilities operations.Manage a talented in‑house team and multiple contractors, ensuring high performance and collaboration.Oversee operational planning for events, delivering seamless venue performance.Drive sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement across all facilities.Monitor and manage budgets, timelines and compliance, ensuring financial and operational excellence.QualificationsExtensive experience as a facilities leader in large, fast‑paced, public‑facing environments.Strong expertise in building operations, project delivery and budget management.Ability to balance the big picture with fine‑detail execution and deliver results.Commercially astute, strategically minded and naturally collaborative.Qualifications such as IWFM, NEBOSH, IOSH, PRINCE2 are desirable.Proven track record of managing major projects and budgets with integrity and purpose.BenefitsDevelopment opportunities and regular one‑to‑ones.Life Assurance 4× basic salary.WeCare Employee Assistance Programme available 24 hrs, 7 days per week.Enhanced family‑friendly benefits.Team social events.Schedule and Working HoursWorking 5 out of 7 days per week, with weekend and late‑evening work required to support events.Inclusion CommitmentsOur venue is for the fans, the artists and everyone We attract a diverse workforce that reflects our local community, driving innovation, strengthening our people, improving our service and raising our excellence.
