The U.K. Business Development role has several essential functions which include but are limited to:All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.Help to further develop StepStone's competitive positioning, marketing strategies and sales messages with respect to its asset management offerings and advisory services across institutional investors in the UK.Work with the existing UK BD team to execute on the Institutional business development plan and grow both AUM from both new and existing LPs.Institutional clients include DB Pension Plans, LGPS, DC Providers, Insurance Companies, Banks, Asset Managers, Multi‑Family and Single‑Family offices.Proactively undertake investor outreach, soliciting StepStone offerings across the various asset classes with a strong focus on Private Equity.Effectively partner with the Head of UK to cover a broad territory, across an array of investors generating new leads and maintaining a high level of activity with prospective and existing clients.Build qualified pipelines of institutional investors to execute campaigns and roadshows.Take ownership of the sales process from prospect stage to potential close.Respond to existing client inquiries in a timely manner.Meet fundraising targets and KPIs set forth in the annual business plan.Maintain and track outreach activity in the firm’s CRM software (Salesforce).Attend regular internal meetings and strategy education sessions.Work closely with the UK Head of Business Development to review activity, pipeline and progress.Bachelor’s degrees.7+ years of private market institutional sales experience / Private Equity experience.Proven track record of institutional capital raising in the U.K. for institutional clients.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesCommitment to being a team player.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Self‑starter who can organize and effectively execute territory plans.Ability to prioritize activities and manage a pipeline of prospects.Consistently offer best‑in‑class prospect and client engagement.At StepStone, we believe that our people are our most important asset and crucial to our success. xpwpeyx We are an Equal Opportunity Employer that strives to create an environment that empowers our employees and allows them to be heard, regardless of title or tenure.
